My Skin Hurts From the Smallest Touch. Please Help Me. Hi... my name is Joyce, and I am only 11 years old. I never imagined that one day I would have to ask strangers for help. I've always been embarrassed to show my skin because it is covered in painful wounds and blisters. But today, I have no other choice. I was born with a rare condition called *Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)*, often known as Butterfly Skin Disease. My skin is so fragile that even the gentlest touch, a hug, or the friction from my clothes can tear it open and create new wounds. Every movement can be painful. Pain has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. While other children run, play, and enjoy their childhood, I have to be careful with every step I take. My bandages must be changed almost every day, and those moments are some of the most painful I experience. Sometimes the dressings stick to my wounds, making me cry in agony. Besides the constant pain, this disease puts me at a high risk of serious infections, causes wounds that take a long time to heal, makes eating difficult because of painful sores, and requires continuous medical care.
