My name is Markus, and I'm the father of three wonderful girls: Lívia, Ana, and my youngest, Sophia.

Ever since my wife passed away in 2026, I've tried to be everything for them: father, mother, friend, hero. When you're a dad, it feels like the world revolves around your kids — and for me, that's exactly how it is.

But today… today I feel like nothing.

Sophia, my little piece of heaven, was diagnosed with a rare tumor called rhabdomyosarcoma. It's an aggressive cancer that is slowly stealing my daughter's joy for life — a child who was always cheerful, smiling, and full of love.

Now she spends her days in pain she calls "fire in my belly."

"Daddy, it hurts so much." My heart broke right there, all over again.

🏗️ Working until I drop I work from morning to night as a construction worker — I climb scaffolds, carry cement, push myself to the limit, because it's all I know how to do. But even so, what I earn barely covers the household bills. Raising three girls is harder these days, especially with the way things are in the country right now.

I love them, and I'll never regret having my girls. But sadly, my wife is gone — and now cancer has entered my daughter's life. It came without warning, completely out of the blue, with no mercy for her — just an innocent child.

💊 The only hope: VAC therapy When the doctor told me Sophia's treatment wouldn't be covered by the public health system, I wanted to scream with rage. They don't even have mercy for a child.

The sarcoma is at stage 3 — the tumor is larger than 5 cm, but thank God there's no metastasis yet. If treatment starts soon, doctors say the chances of recovery are over 70%. But with every minute that passes, her chances get smaller.

💰 The impossible costs She needs a treatment called "VAC therapy" — made up of three medications: vincristine, actinomycin-D, and cyclophosphamide. The full treatment lasts about 18 months, at $7,000 per monthly cycle. The total cost comes to $268,000 — money I'll never see in my entire life, even if I work myself to exhaustion.

Of that amount, about $216,000 has already been raised thanks to generous people like you. We're so close to the goal — but the last stretch is the hardest.

I've already sold everything I could: the old car, the living room furniture, even my wife's wedding ring. But there's still a gap.

⏰ Time is running out Doctors said that if we don't start treatment within 2 months at the most, the tumor could progress to stage 4 with metastasis. The priority now is to act fast and stop it from spreading.

I'm just a father who would give his own life to save his daughter.

Every day, my daughter asks me to read her the Bible. It breaks my heart when she says that, together with Mommy, she'll watch over me from heaven.
